Join alumni, staff, former staff, Jmu administrators, and many others for the grand re-opening of UREC. There will be remarks from Eric Nickel (Director of UREC), President Jon Alger and Dr. Mark Warner as well as a ribbon cutting and check presentation from the 96ers. Reception and tours immediately following.

Parent's Night Out
Friday, October 7, 4:45pm, UREC
Parent's Night Out is an opportunity for children ages 5-12 to come to UREC for a night full of fun and adventure. Children participate in activities such as swimming and rock wall climbing. We have many new spaces and opportunities for children to enjoy UREC. Counselors are summer camp counselors that have worked with children this past summer. Our philosophy is recreation, fun, and friendship. The cost is $20 per child and includes pizza. Drop off begins at 4:45 p.m. and pick up between 8:30 and 9 p.m.

UREC alumni and friends, join UREC staff for a casual social in Downtown Harrisonburg! Light appetizers will be provided. Pre-Registration is required.
UREC 96ers Scholarship Brunch
Saturday, October 8, 10:30am, UREC West Courtyard
96ers and their immediate families are invited to join us to celebrate over $50,000 in pledges to endow the first UREC Student Employee Scholarship! 96ers will be recognized. There is no cost for 96res, however, pre-registration is required.
UREC 20th Anniversary Tailgate
Saturday, October 8, Noon, UREC West Courtyard
UREC will host its very own tailgate in our courtyard near Duke Dog Alley! Enjoy a “JMQ” menu of smoked chicken halves, pulled pork, vegetable pasta salad, mac n’ cheese, green beans, cornbread, chips, and dessert. A cash bar will be open Noon-2:30pm. Enjoy music, lawn games, and JMU spirit! Last call is at 2:30pm. Pre-Registration is required.
JMU Football Game (UREC Seating Block)
Saturday, October 8, 3:30pm, Bridgeforth Stadium
Be sure to purchase your football game tickets to cheer on the Dukes! A block of tickets has been reserved for UREC Alumni. To purchase game tickets, please call the Athletics Ticket Office at 540.568.3853 and mention the code UREC (under promo codes) or click here. A gameday parking pass for Hillside Field will be included with your ticket purchase when using the promo code (limit 1 per account).
UREC Alumni Open Workout
UREC alumni are invited to participate at UREC or University Park during our open hours. Alumni may bring a guest and/or their immediate families. If you are bringing children, please plan to participate during family hours Friday at 6pm through Sunday at 6pm. UREC Hours are Friday: 6am-10pm, Saturday: 9am-10pm, and Sunday: Noon-11:30pm. UPARK hours are Friday - Saturday: 11am - 10pm and Sunday: 11am - 11:30pm. Please pre-register so we know to expect you!
Parking Information
Friday, October 7: Please park in a Convocation Center Lot! Metered, service, and handicap restrictions still apply.
Saturday, October 8: Visitors will be able to park in any general lots on campus or can utilize football parking passes.
