Capital Construction Event - Seeking all SWaM Sub-contractors!

JMU in coordination with Kjellstrom & Lee, Nielsen Builders, Skanska USA, and WM Jordan are hosting a SWaM Sub-contractor Outreach “mega” event on August 16^th.  The event will be held at the current JMU Convocation Center from 1-4.  Sub-contractors will hear about several capital projects that will begin construction in the next year (College of Business (Expansion/Renovation), Convocation Center/Parking Deck (New Construction), Student Housing (New Construction), Phillips Hall (Renovation), Wilson Hall (Renovation).  All of these projects have completed the JMU Procurement Process and have awarded Construction Manager’s in place.  The CMs will be on hand to present on each of these projects, information on bid packages and will be available for networking and questions.  In addition, larger sub-contractors may be available to discuss 2^nd and 3^rd tier sub-contracting opportunities.   If you’re in involved in construction services or materials, are interested in working on JMU projects as a sub-contractor, and are a certified SWaM business or a larger sub-contractor looking for certified SWaM contractors, you don’t want to miss this!  Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. 

Parking will be at Convo parking lots B & E (no parking passes needed) and attendees should enter through B doors.
