Senior Sara Scherer receives honor

Sara Scherer, a senior majoring in philosophy and religion, was recently invited to join Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences in the United States.  Scherer, who is currently co-president of the JMU chapter of Phi Sigma Tau (the national philosophy honor society), also recently presented a paper entitled "(En)Gendering Human Rights" at the 3rd Annual Forum on Human Rights at Virginia Tech University.  The Department wishes to extend its warm congratulations to Sara for her accomplishments!
