Kristin Clarens presents "Perspectives on Immigrant Detention Centers"

Kristin Clarens, an attorney based in Charlottesville, has recently returned from Tornillo, Texas where she worked with children, some of whom have been separated from their families since early spring, to help them through the immigration process. Kristin Clarens presented “Perspectives on Immigrant Detention Centers” about her experience at the border. The event took place on November 12, 2018, it was hosted by Dr. Kristen McCleary, and it was sponsored by Cross Disciplinary Studies, Sociology and Anthropology, History, Pre-Law, and Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
