Virginia529 College Savings Plan has information about programs which may of interest to you:

Virginia college savings tax deduction Open or add to an existing account by December 31, 2015 to use the deduction for the 2015 tax year. Virginia encourages families to save in advance for higher education by rewarding them with a state income tax deduction. Taxpayers may deduct contributions to Virginia529 accounts, up to $4,000 per account, from their individual state taxable income.

Annual prePAID enrollment The 2015-16 enrollment period for the Virginia529 prePAID tuition program opened December 1, 2015 and continues through March 31, 2016. FAQs, tutorials, and a convenient prePAID calculator are available at Virginia529.com/prepaid.
