JMURJ releases initial volume

The JMU Undergraduate Research Journal--JMURJ--has released its initial issue this spring:

Volume 1 contains research articles from Honors students Cassandra Poole (Math, '15) and Matthew Lewis (Engineering, '15). Cassandra's article, "'The Woman' and the Women of Sherlock Holmes," explores the depiction of women and female sexuality in the Sherlock Holmes stories and the broader Victorian era. Matthew's article, "Where to Park? The East Campus Dilemma," looks at parking problems experienced in the Festival and Convocation lots and presents research which offers a solution.

JMURJ is a "multidisciplinary, student-run, peer-reviewed undergraduate research journal" that publishes work from all fields of study at JMU. Honors students are heavily involved in the production of the journal and are well-represented on the editorial board.
