Eating Disorders Awareness Month

News

Eating disorders – such as anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder – are serious, potentially life-threatening conditions that affect both a person’s emotional and physical health. In the United States alone, 30 million people will be impacted by an eating disorder at some point in their lifetime. Eating disorders can include extreme emotions, attitudes, and behaviors surrounding weight and food issues. These conditions affect all kinds of people and don’t discriminate by race, age, sex, age, or size. (source: NEDA)

The University Health Center, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Operation Beautiful, REACH, and the Counseling Center are sponsoring a series of events on campus to raise awareness of eating disorders ... and every "body" is welcome.

Please contact University Health Center Health Educator Veronica Jones with questions or accommodation concerns.
