National Suicide Prevention Week Sep 8-14

suicide-prevention2013 National Suicide Prevention Week is Sept. 8-14, and the JMU Counseling & Student Development Center has partnered with the University Health Center, LGBT & Ally Education Program, Madison Equality, Active Minds, and the Tae Kwon Do Club to challenge our assumptions and move forward together.

Maggie Bertram (http://www.activeminds.org/about/leadership/staff/605-maggie-bertram), the senior program manager of student-led initiatives at Active Minds, is coming to JMU to speak Monday, Sept. 9, at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall Auditorium.

Dead Poets Society, the Oscar-winning 1989 drama, will screen Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall Auditorium.

A Walk for Hope Symbols of Hope Quilt and resource table will be on The Commons Monday, Sept. 9 and Thursday, Sept. 12, as well as in Festival Conference Center's lower level Friday, Sept. 13.
