The College of Education Salamanca Program!

With the robust partnership James Madison University enjoys with the University of Salamanca, JMU students can study at one of the oldest universities in Europe, and in spring 2019, students in the JMU College of Education can enjoy a special study-abroad experience that is just for them. See the flyer for more information and encourage your students to APPLY!

Students in the Education Program will take 15 credits, consisting of four courses and a practicum in the local schools, under the direction of Dr. Melanie Shoffner. The curriculum is designed to meet requirements in the elementary (ELED), middle (IDLS) and secondary (MSSE) education programs but all students are welcome to apply. There is no language requirement for the Education Program.
