Intercultural Experience Proposals Are Being Accepted Now!

FACULTY: If you are interested in proposing an intercultural experience for our students for summer 2015, it is that time of year when College of Education proposals should be developed!

The college process is to solicit proposals from the faculty prior to the Office of International Programs deadline (typically August 1) to provide time for offering support to you in your proposal development from our own faculty who have developed and led experiences in the past.

Download the Proposal Form.

We invite you to submit the completed application by Friday, April 25th.

We understand that the syllabus may not be totally complete, but having a general idea of the academic expectations and experiences will be helpful as you move forward with the details of your plan this summer.   Our timeline allows you to have plenty of time to plan and confer with others in the college who may be able to offer support in the final proposal. You may send it electronically to Peggy (shaeffmb) or drop off a paper copy in the Associate Deans' Office.

Your proposal will be reviewed by faculty in the college who have participated in previous intercultural experiences in the spirit of offering support and guidance to you in your continued planning.  This network of experienced faculty will prove especially helpful to those of you for whom this is a new experience.

This year, we are also offering a drop in conversation time so that you can ask questions about the proposal form, get tips from our veterans, and bounce off ideas that you may not have solidified but are hoping will come to fruition.   We are inviting you to join those that have the experience under their belts on Wednesday, APRIL 9 from 12:30 – 1:30 in the Faculty Seminar Room.
