College of Business

Welcome to the Academic Year

Interim Dean, Mike Busing in the Zane Showker Lobby - 2018

The fall 2018 semester is in full swing at the College of Business. Excitement is in the air and there is a promise of fresh gains in the classroom, the workplace and, of course, on the football field.

Join me in welcoming to the JMU campus over 4,600 of the brightest and most motivated freshmen in the nation. We look forward to providing opportunities for these students to gain the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences required to thrive in a community engaged with ideas and the world.

The nearly 1000 members of the College of Business Class of 2022 represent 18 states and 11 countries. All will share in the many opportunities for learning and growth that the College of Business is proud to offer.

Part of that educational growth is reflected in our #COB2020 initiative, with the groundbreaking for our new Learning Complex set for Homecoming week in October. It should be a momentous occasion during a week packed full of exciting events. To keep apprised of Learning Complex developments, follow #COB2020 on social media or visit our website.

I hope to see you during Homecoming week or at a JMU football game this fall. In the meantime, please let us know if we may be of assistance to you. Go Dukes!
