SUMMARY: JMU student start up teams Canvex LLC, Hydra Systems and Madison Crypto Fund, competed in the VCU Spring Break Pitch Competition.

Virginia Commonwealth University’s da Vinci Center hosted their first ever Startup Spring Break Pitch Competition on March 10th, 2018. Startup teams were nominated by universities across the Commonwealth to compete for $25,000 in equity–free funding. James Madison University was represented by three of our student startups: Canvex LLC, Hydra Systems, and Madison Crypto Fund.

These students competed against ventures from American University, Old Dominion University, University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University and William and Mary. The competition did not disappoint and all of our student teams left with $500 each towards their ventures.
