College of Business Board of Advisors Chairman Jarl Bliss, Dean Mary Gowan and JMU President Jonathan Alger revealed the #COB2020 hashtag during the official kickoff of the campaign to support construction of a new College of Business Learning Complex.

The campaign goal of surpassing 15 million dollars was announced to the nearly 24,000 in attendance at halftime of JMU’s Homecoming football game at Bridgeforth Stadium. The announcement of the total raised to date of $7,017,525 drew cheers.

Nearly 90 College of Business community members — including Board of Advisors members, donors, faculty, students, and university administrators — joined Bliss, Alger and Gowan on the field for the event.

JMU plans to open the new facility in the fall of 2020 with renovations of the current Zane Showker Hall to be completed in 2021.
