SUMMARY: On Tuesday, September 27th, the Madison Marketing Association (MMA) hosted their 12th Annual Networking Banquet.

On Tuesday, September 27th, the Madison Marketing Association (MMA) hosted their 12th Annual Networking Banquet. This is a rewarding opportunity for companies to network with interested JMU students in an interactive and professional setting. More than a dozen companies including Kohl’s, Merkle, TTi and Cvent connected with over 40 JMU students - gaining company exposure, viable applicants and hiring opportunities. The evening consisted of a networking session, guest speakers and a catered three-course dinner.

Amanda Libero, a senior Marketing major that attended said “my favorite part of the event was having the opportunity to have a second or third interaction with potential employers. It made me feel confident in the relationships I built with recruiters, because I had the ability to follow up with them in a more personal setting.” As MMA’s largest professional event of the academic year, the Networking Banquet is a highly educational and opportune event for both students and employers. David Bruce, a senior Marketing major and president of MMA was happy with the success of this year’s event adding, “our goal is to provide students with a fantastic networking opportunity by inviting a wide range of companies from different industries. After 12 years, this event still proves its value and the Madison Marketing Association is looking forward to providing this opportunity for years to come.”
