Forty-one JMU students were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma during a ceremony held on Oct 15 in Zane Showker Hall.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international honor society that provides the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate of graduate program at a school accredited by AACSB International. The JMU chapter received its charter on April 28, 1983.

Potential members are invited based on high scholastic achievement in business subjects. To be eligible for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, the academic ranking of those being considered must place them in the upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class and the upper 20 percent of the graduating master’s class.
