College of Business Names Award Winners

The JMU College of Business announced award winners during the CoB faculty luncheon on Aug. 22.

Congratulations to the following faculty and staff who were recognized by their peers for outstanding work:

  • Linda Armentrout - Staff Service Award
  • Dr. Theresa Clarke – Kenneth R. Bartee Award for Teaching Innovation
  • Dr. David Hayes, Accenture Professional Service Award
  • Dr. Susan Kruck - Community Service Award
  • Dr. Tim Louwers - Best Education Publication
  • Dr. Bob Richardson - Dr. Otto G. Brenner Memorial Award
  • Dr. Barkley Rosser - Best Academic Publication
  • Dr. Elias Semaan - MBA Graduate Teaching Award
  • Dr. Jason Fink, Dr. Kristin Fink, and Dr. Hui He Sono - Best Practitioner Publication

In addition to the CoB awards, several faculty members were recognized with university awards:

  • Jason Fink received the Madison Scholar Award for the College of Business
  • Nancy Nichols was renamed the Journal of Accounting Education Endowed
  • Professorship
  • Susan Palocsay was selected KPMG Faculty Scholar
  • Matt Rutherford received the Provost’s Distinguished Teacher Award
  • Andy Wood was named the Wardinski Family Faculty Scholar
