FBI Secures 3D Printer to Study IEDs

"The FBI is to purchase a 3D printer to study explosives. In basic terms, 3D printers are industrial robots capable of creating three dimensional objects from a model or electronic data source by means of layering. The printer will be used at the Bureau’s Quantico, Va. operations center, which is a major training center for the FBI and the location of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center." --hstoday.us
