Congratulations Erin!
NewsWe are very excited and proud to have a student honored by the The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation! Erin Krist ('20) was selected as a 2019 Goldwater Scholar. Goldwater Scholars are sophomore or juniors majoring in the natural sciences, mathematics and/or engineering and are selected based on academic merit. The Goldwater Scholarship is considered a preeminent undergraduate award in the STEM disciplines.
Erin Krist (pictured below) works in Dr. Reisner's lab. She plans on obtaining a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry and would like conduct research in metalorganic synthesis.
All Goldwater applicants must first be screened and nominated by their institutions. Of the nearly 5,000 eligible students, only 1223 were nominated and of those, just 496 were named Goldwater Scholars. Congratulations Erin; it's quite an honor!
