When Board of Visitors member Leslie Gilliam ('82) and her husband Richard established the Gilliam Center for Free Enterprise and Ethical Leadership in the College of Business, they reinforced a personal belief in the free enterprise system and the ethical practices it demands. Through mentorships, curriculum development and faculty support, the center equips students to enter the business world with an understanding of how business models, markets and ethical leadership optimally intersect to create opportunities. In founding the center, the Gilliams set in motion an educational mission to alter the future as it prepares ethical champions of free enterprise who will themselves change the world.
