My work explores the fluidity of ecological spaces and their inhabitants, particularly in terms of strength, vulnerability and adaptability. For some time, my creative endeavors have been a response to specific issues of environmental concern, including ocean health, unchecked chemical use, species invasion, migration interruption and disease… Both visually and conceptually, the work explores the tensions between beauty and threat, health and illness and microscopic versus macroscopic perspectives.” — Lisa Tubach
