Expert can discuss Ash Wednesday

JMU Headlines

People in all cultures feel the deep need for making new beginnings in their lives, says William O’Meara, professor of philosophy and religion at James Madison University. O’Meara studies contemporary Catholic theology, American philosophy and existentialism and is available to discuss why individuals who may not be devout, feel the pull to recognize, practice and sacrifice things for lent.

“I believe people need rituals like Ash Wednesday to renew their commitments, to deepen their practice of love and to embrace with all their hearts the redemptive quality of love and forgiveness in our lives.”

If you are interested in interviewing O’Meara for Ash Wednesday, please contact me. I would be happy to connect you.
