Flooding possible in certain areas on campus

The National Weather Service is predicting moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the afternoon. This combination of heavy rain and the melting snow may cause flooding in certain areas of campus including the areas near Godwin Transit Center, Mr. Chips, Hillside Field, Duke Dog Alley and the Arboretum.

Should flooding occur, please avoid the area and follow instructions from public safety personnel. Do not attempt to walk or drive through flood waters due to potential electric shock, unseen debris, environmental hazards and possible swift currents.

Update: 12:28 p.m.

Duke Dog Alley is now closed due to flooding. Please avoid the area and do not attempt to walk through flood waters.
