Makeup day information for classes canceled on Jan. 22

Due to the inclement weather, James Madison University was closed on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. The university has designated Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, as the official makeup day for classes canceled on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. Faculty members have several options for making up missed instructional time. They can:

• Hold class on the official university makeup day. 
• Hold class at another time acceptable to class members. The faculty member’s department will arrange the time and location.
• Hold class electronically using a web-based source.
• Accommodate for missed instructional time within remaining class meeting times. 

Students should check with their professors to determine how missed classes will be accommodated.
