Faculty and Staff

Students who developed and taught a class about conserving energy will discuss their experience at noon Friday, Oct. 11 in Room 405 of Taylor Hall. The discussion, part of the Think Green, It's Friday forum, is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

Students created "GSCI 101: The Energy Challenge" to inform their peers about how making small lifestyle changes can add up to big savings of energy and money. They taught the course for the first time during the spring 2013 semester.

The “Think Green: It’s Friday” series is sponsored by JMU’s Office of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability. The series was started to raise awareness among the JMU and Harrisonburg communities of ways to conduct environmentally sustainable lives and improve the community.
