Let your voice be heard

The Diversity Task Force requests your participation in a survey intended to assist JMU in maintaining and enhancing an inclusive campus environment for all. These data will be an important part of an internal report requested by President Alger.

Your response will ensure that the task force can provide suggestions and ideas that encompass all forms of diversity in its broadest terms including but not limited to: socio-economic status and background, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, age, ability, veteran/military service status, or any combination. We are looking for promising practices and ideas to enhance all forms of diversity. Also recommendations about how to potentially address any concerns are welcome.

We realize that you have been asked to complete numerous surveys of late, and we do not make this request lightly. This survey is the most efficient method for gaining feedback about diversity issues from the JMU community, and its findings will represent the most direct assessment of faculty, staff and student opinions/action suggestions within the report.

Completing the survey will take approximately 10 minutes. Please respond with as much detail as possible. You have the option of confidentiality, and data will only be reported in aggregate. The results of this survey will be for JMU internal use only. Here is the link to the survey: http://jmu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_1S6TT6gT8jkkdxz

If you have a document or research that addresses this effort, please submit it electronically to diversity@jmu.edu.
