Now Accepting Submissions for Idea Grants for the 2013-14 Academic Year

The Office of the Special Assistant to the President (OSAP) is pleased to announce a call for proposals to receive grants that will enhance diversity at James Madison University (JMU).

The goal of this award is to provide funds to students, faculty and staff members who want to test innovative ideas and/or develop sustainable activities and projects that would enrich the diversity of JMU.

Awards of up to $4000 each will be made during the 2013-2014 academic year.

Individuals, departments, units or groups are welcome to submit proposals. The activities should be designed to enhance diversity in its broadest terms including socio-economic status and background, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, age, disability, veteran/military service status, or any combination. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals that are creative and multidisciplinary.

Please be aware that applicants cannot use award money to pay themselves, that gifts for participants are not considered a legitimate expense, and that incomplete proposals will not be reviewed.
