Call for Proposals - JMU Diversity Conference

News

The President’s Office announces the 6th Annual Diversity Conference to be held on Monday, March 19, 2012, in the Festival Conference and Student Center.

This year’s theme is "Diversity: Avenues for Engagement." The conference objectives are as follows:

To provide all JMU faculty and staff with skills related to all forms of diversity to aid in their professional and personal growth. (Skills that will assist them in the careers at JMU)

To provide those with research related to diversity the ability to present their work for the JMU community.

If you have an idea for a conference session or wish to share your expertise with your peers and colleagues, please consider completing the presentation submission template located on the Diversity web page at https://www.jmu.edu/diversity

As the diversity conference continues to grow and evolve, we anticipate even more faculty and staff participation this year. Your involvement allows for the generation of innovation and action towards creating a beneficially diverse environment on campus.

Proposals are to be submitted electronically to diversity@jmu.edu

Deadline for presentation proposals is Friday, December 2, 2011, at 5:00 p.m.

Ideas for sessions may include:
