HARRISONBURG—Dr. J. Peter Pham, Director of the Nelson Institute for International and Public Affairs at James Madison University, is quoted extensively in an article on African expectations of America’s newly inaugurated President Barack Obama and the likely course of United States policy toward Africa in the new administration.

The article by editor Peter Guest appears in the launch issue of This Is Africa, a new publication of the Financial Times which “ seeks to examine African business and politics in a global context and to make sense of the relationships that Africa is building with the rest of the world.” Also quoted in the piece are Ambassador Tom Wheeler of the South African Institute of International Affairs and Ambassador Princeton Lyman of the Council on Foreign Relations.
