The music industry area is hosting guest speaker Dave Lloyd, from the Richmond Symphony. This is a great opportunity to find out first-hand many of the requirements to work in Arts Administration.

Dave Lloyd, a graduate of James Madison University, is the Director of
Orchestral Operations for the Richmond Symphony in Richmond, VA. He is responsible for planning and administering all operational functions of the Symphony, including the management of all concert production and related activities. In addition he creates and oversees a multi-million dollar artistic and operational budget, negotiates and administers artistic and operational contracts, and manages the Symphony's collective bargaining agreement.

Through his work with the Richmond Symphony, Mr. Lloyd has produced concerts with such artists as Doc Severinsen, Marvin Hamlisch, Michael Feinstein, Jaime Laredo, Andre Watts, and William Preucil.
