Instructor, Composition and Music Theory

Steve Voight holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in composition from the University of California, San Diego, and a B.M. in theory and composition from Northern Illinois University. His compositions have been performed throughout the United States by ensembles including Either/Or, Noise, and Sirius. He has studied composition with Brian Ferneyhough, Rand Steiger, Harvey Sollberger, Joji Yuasa, and Roger Reynolds. He has presented papers on contemporary music at the annual conference of the Society for Music Theory and the West Coast conference of Music Theory and Analysis.
