All prospective members of the JMU Drum Line, Front Ensemble, and Color Guard must audition for a spot on Saturday, June 28. The following information is provided for your preparation.

10:00AM Opening remarks JMU Band Staff
10:30AM 12:00PM MORNING AUDITION SESSIONS
12:00 1:00PM Lunch at Music Building provided by JMU Bands
1:00 4:00PM AFTERNOON AUDITION SESSIONS
Note: Individuals will be dismissed upon completion of the afternoon auditions (no later than 4:00PM).

LOCATION AND PARKING
Auditions will take place at the JMU Music Building located on S. Main Street. Registration will be held in Room 108 on the first floor (signs will be posted). Parking will be available in the Warsaw Street Parking Deck (adjacent to the construction of the new Performing Arts Center). Please see the enclosed JMU campus map for exact locations.
Due to construction, it is recommended that all participants:
1.) Enter Harrisonburg from I-81 via Exit 245 (Port Republic)
2.) Travel WEST on Port Republic Road to the 2nd stoplight (Rte. 11/S. Main Street).
3.) Turn RIGHT onto Rte.11-N/S. Main Street
4.) At the next stoplight (Warsaw Ave./Bluestone Drive), turn LEFT to access the Warsaw Parking Deck; there will be a Buffalo Wild Wings on your left and the campus entrance on your right
5.) The Music Building is located at the far corner of the Quad, across S. Main Street from the construction site
WHAT TO BRING
All percussionists should bring their own sticks and mallets. Instruments will be provided.
Color Guard participants should wear appropriate clothes for learning routines (work-out clothes and running shoes no jeans). Flags will be provided (all participants will audition using the same equipment). If individuals would like to audition for the weapon line, they must provide their own rifle and/or saber.
Please note that all audition sessions will be held outside (unless there is inclement weather), so please dress appropriately. In case of rain, we have secondary locations reserved if necessary.
