Tryout Requirements:

The minimum required skills to be a member of the Dukettes Dance Team include the following:

• sharp pom motions with proper placement
• triple pirouette
• fuete turns
• switch leap
• side leap
• high toe touch


In addition to the above requirements, potential Dukettes must be able to adapt to various styles of dance including pom, jazz and funk/hip hop.
 
We will teach a jazz, a hip hop, and a pom routine.  These routines will be taught Saturday, April 17, 2010 starting at 1:30 pm.  If you plan on auditioning to be a full time member of the team, you are required to attend BOTH days.  You will pay a $45 registration fee, cash only.
 
Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 9 am.  We will have all participants sign in at 8:30 am.  You will be responsible for warming yourself up.  We will do a short review of each routine and begin with first cuts at approximately 9:30 am.
 
Dancers are judged on their execution of the routine, including performance and energy, as well as the technical skills listed above.

Please be advised that on both days we are scheduled to finish at approximately 6 pm.  Depending on attendance, there could be a chance we will run over time.
