Being a member of the JMU Dukettes Dance Team is a major time commitment. The Dukettes practice 2 hours a day on average, in addition to home football and basketball games, and other appearances. The Dukettes travel with the Marching Royal Dukes to various performances throughout the fall season. These performances include community, national, international, and university events. The team also competes nationally during the spring semester. The regular season for a Dukette runs from May to March. While the commitment is a big one, Dukettes is an unforgettable, rewarding experience. |
