Housing, meals and graduate credit

Housing and meals are additional.

Housing is available in air-conditioned JMU residence halls that are about a five-to-10 minute walk from the Music Building. The price is $36 per day single and $25.50 per day double. At your request, we will attempt to pair you with a roommate. Daily room charges begin the first day of occupancy and continue through the last day of occupancy.

Meals are available in JMU dining facilities. It is possible to pay for a meal plan ($22.50 per day) or purchase meals a la carte.

Credit . We are changing the way in which credit is offered this summer. Instead of an additional charge for graduate credit, we are offering credit and non-credit options. The cost of the basic workshop will be a little higher, but those wishing graduate credit will pay significantly less than in the past.

Non-Credit Option

Folk Dancing, Movement & Improvisation Mini-Workshop $175 ($125 for students taking another JMU Music Course)

Kodály Levels I, II or III $725

JMU will provide a letter documenting contact hours (75 for a Kodály Level, 12.5 for the Folk Dancing, Movement & Improvisation workshop) for possible recertification to participants who attend all sessions.

Credit Option

Folk Dancing, Movement & Improvisation Mini-workshop (1 Graduate Credit)

Kodály Levels I, II or III (3 Graduate Credits)

In State $434 per credit

Out of State $1108 per credit
