FALL 2007

9/4 - JMU Faculty Recital, David Pope, unaccompanied woodwinds
Professor David Pope premieres two original solo instrumental works, inspired by a Sufi poem and an ancient Tibetan funeral text.  The music explores mystical imagery through composed material and improvisation, performed on saxophones and  a variety of ethnic wind and percussion instruments. 3/29 - FLUTE FLING!: A fun and informative day of concerts, masterclasses, and workshops for middle and high school students, teachers, and flute enthusiasts! All day, Music Building
