Membership by audition. This select mixed choir of 60 voices performs masterwork literature from the Renaissance to Contemporary era appropriate for university choruses.

Membership by audition. This highly select choir of 16 voices studies the finest and most complex choral literature appropriate for chamber ensembles, and performs at the professional choir level.

Don Rierson, director

Membership by audition. The Opera Theatre presents two public programs each year from the repertoire of Opera, Operetta and Broadway shows. Recent productions have included The Merry Widow, Street Scene, How to Suceed, The Magic Flute, Into the Woods, A Mozart Celebration, 110° in the Shade, The Old Maid and the Thief, Down in the Valley, The Robber Bridegroom, A Little Night Music, The Mikado, The Tender Land, Pirates of Penzance, Fiddler on the Roof and Kiss Me Kate. The Opera Theatre also produces workshop productions of opera scenes programs and new, original music theater pieces.

Membership open to all JMU students without audition. This 100-voice choir introduces singers to a wide range of music repertoire with emphasis on developing ensemble performance skills and increasing musical understanding.
