DISCUSSION BOARD & ORGANIZATIONAL
ANNOUNCEMENTS
This feature of the CMSS Blackboard is
to inform organizational leaders of events and programs that are
occuring throughout the year and to
allow them to have "on-line discussions" of issues and concerns
facing our organizations.

ORGANIZATIONAL ROUNDTABLE
The Organizational Roundtable consists of representatives from the
CMSS student groups. Meetings are held each month to bring the
organization members together to discuss the following: current
issues, identify university/group needs, heighten their
intercultural and multicultural awareness, and program
collaboration opportunities.
RESOURCES AND REFERRALS
CMSS maintains a resource
library that provides useful information including
scholarship/financial aid information, reference books, and a video
library that features CMSS guest lecturers, books and
documentaries. To support the efforts of our student groups, CMSS
financially assists groups in good standing with their
programs/activities.
STUDENT ADVOCACY
CMSS handles complaints
concerning possible discrimination/insensitivity. The CMSS staff
also counsel students and intervene/mediate as
needed.
LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES/RETREATS
Each year, CMSS facilitates a
leadership training retreat for new officers in our organization.
To further enhance student leadership skills, CMSS also
assists/sponsors student involvement at various conferences, such
as the:
- National Black Student
Leadership Conference
- North East Latino Student Leadership Conference
- ECAASU: East Coast Asian
American Student Union
