CMSS is the place where all students can celebrate diversity!

       

MissionStatement:

 

§        To constantly strive towards increased awareness of Latino cultures.

 

§        To promote sisterhood and leadership among ourselves.

 

§        To serve as models of excellence in academic sand achievements among                                        women.

 

 

                             SIA'sthree major Programs:

 

    *  Noti-SIA:A monthly discussion on current news and updates regarding the Latinos in the United States and/or Latin American Countries in the world. Its purpose is to educate others about what is going on in the world around them.

 

    * HolidayKids Party: Annual Valentines, Easter, and Christmas parties which benefit the kids from Valley ViewTrailer Park, located right outside of Harrisonburg. The kids play games, contests, do arts and crafts, and more!

 

•  CampHeartland: Every semester the ladies of SIA hold a campus-wide fundraiser to benefit Camp Heartland. Camp Heartland is SIA's national philanthropy and its  mission is to help kids who have been affected in one way or another with the HIV/A.I.D.S virus 

 

              Elections are normally held in the Spring.
