Mission
Statement:
We are a multicultural national service sorority and are based on the ideals of service, friendship, and eqality. Our purpose is "to assemble college and university students in the spirit of service to humanity and to develop friendship among students of all races and creeds." Our motto is, "Unity in Service."
We are very new to JMU; we had our 4th pledge class last spring and got our charter in the spring as well. Therefore, we are still growing and developing programs of our own. This fall we plan to host a passport event with a documentary and speakers about Hurricane Relief, host a "world hunger day" (a 24 hour fast) and host a late night dinner. We also participate in the 5K Race to Beat Breast Cancer, Relay for Life, and the Big Event.
