
MissionStatement: Our mission is to provide sisterhood among women,
scholarship, leadership and Asian awareness at the university and
in community. Furthermore, to provide support
to women in their time of need and to encourage them by making of
successful women. Also, to accomplish our mission, we
will:
Ø Maintain
the highest levels of quality and integrity.
Ø Create a
climate that encourages teamwork, creativity, and
innovation.
Ø Give our
unmoving and absolute support and encouragement to those we are
dear to our heart-our sisters.
We will measure our success in
how well we are regarded by our peers
and represented by our
competitors, and supported by our sisters.
Three major programs sponsored each year:
Ø AsiaFair: Wellness passport
event encompassing various Asian countries. The Fair consists of
informational stands with food to sample and cultural artifacts.
Also, cultural performances (i.e. dances, skits, songs) presented.
The fair is co-sponsored with many different multicultural
organizations.
Ø Breast Cancer Awareness: This event is to educate those in the university and
community. It brings awareness about breast cancer and raises funds
for our philanthropy, Breast Cancer Awareness. All funds are
donated to the Susan G. Komen
Foundation.
Ø
Domestic Violence
Workshop: This event helps
to promote knowledge in self-awareness for females. Usually it
consist of an interactive self-defense workshop with a question and
answer session. This is a wellness passport event.
Elections are normally held
at the end of each semester.
