MissionStatement:
The Vietnamese Student Association at James Madison
University is devoted to uniting all people who share an
interest in the Vietnamese culture. We strive to
serve the wide community while spreading
awareness of the heritage, traditions, and distinguished history of
Vietnam.
3 Main
Programs:
VSA
Week
is a program-filled week that will be held the
week of February 11-16th. It consists of events that vary
from teaching about the Vietnamese New Year to its history,
and culture. The events of the week will lead up to our second
annual cultural show.
Vietnamese Cultural
Show
will consist of dancing singing, and various
other acts that will highlight the cultural aspects of the
beautiful Vietnam.
Annual Football
tournament
is a regional event that brings VSA organizations from
several schools together to compete in football. It is held
in Northern Virginia on the GMU campus during Thanksgiving
break. The winner of the tournament wins a trophy and money,
which they can donate to a charity or philanthropic organization of
choice.
