The ladies of the Lambda Iota Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. are "switching" things up on JMU's campus. On Thursday, December 3rd at 7pm in Transitions, they will be hosting a Greek Switch Charity Step Competition. Panhellenic Council sororities and Interfraternity Council fraternities will be competing for their respective philanthropies.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. have paired up with Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Phi, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Delta Chi, and Alpha Tau Omega to teach them the significance of stepping and to serve as coaches. This event is about more than stepping; it is about sharing two different cultures and unifying all Greeks on JMU's campus.
Tickets to this event are $3 and are on sale now. Please bring a canned food item to support the Harrisonburg Salvation Army Food Bank. For more info, email lambdaiota@gmail.com.
