Benjamin Bagby will present a lecture and demonstration on the epic, the language, and the performance of Beowulf. Bagby currently lives in Paris, where he leads the medieval ensemble Sequentia. His performance of Beowulf brings to life the bardic storytelling tradition from which the epic arose.
