Mrs. Melissa Malabad
Mrs. Melissa Malabad joined the Marketing
faculty as an Instructor in the fall of 2003. Her course
rotation included Principles of Marketing, Market Database
Development, Buyer Behavior, Professional Selling, and COB
300. She is presently Assistant Professor of Marketing at
Mary Baldwin College and will be rejoining JMU in the spring of
2008 as an Adjunct Instructor for the Marketing Management
course. While at JMU, Melissa participated in Freshman
Orientation Activities and was the Marketing Advisor to
The
Breeze sales staff. She is an Ad Hoc
Reviewer within the marketing discipline
for MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resources for
Learning and Online Teaching).
Her past experience includes working at the
Department of Social Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters and WVPT,
where her positions involved case management, volunteer management,
fund development and database design and management. She is a
life-long resident of Harrisonburg, and holds a BA in Sociology
from the University of Virginia and a MBA from James Madison
University.
