Dr. W. Val Larsen
Dr. Val Larsen is an Associate Professor of Marketing at
James Madison University. He teaches Database Marketing and
Buyer Behavior. Prior to joining the JMU faculty he spent five
years at Truman State University in Missouri where he taught
Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Retail Management, and
Marketing Research. Dr. Larsen earned B.A. degrees in both
Philosophy and English from Brigham Young University, an M.A. and
Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in
Marketing from Virginia Tech. He has published articles in
outlets that include Psychology and Marketing, The Journal of
Consumer Research, Economics and Economic Education
Research Journal, Journal of Consumer Satisfaction,
Dissatisfaction, and Complaining Behavior, Academy of Marketing
Studies Journal, Advances in Consumer Research, Competitiveness
Review, Flannery O'Connor Bulletin, and Global
Competitiveness.
