Dr. Theresa B. Flaherty
Dr. Flaherty is a Professor of Marketing and the
2008 Madison Scholar at James Madison University where she teaches
Principles of Marketing, Strategic Internet Marketing, Integrated
Marketing Communications, and Information Security Ethics and
Policy. Prior to this position, she was a member of the marketing
and e-commerce faculty at Old Dominion University. Dr.
Flaherty earned her Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky and has
work experience at the Rossborough Inn, JBI Customized Computer
Solutions, California University of Pennsylvania's Entrepreneurial
Assistance Center and Mon Valley Renaissance Program, IBM, and
Service Corporation International. 
Dr. Flaherty's research has appeared in
journals such as Industrial Marketing Management, International
Marketing Review, The Journal of Personal Selling and Sales
Management, The Journal of Internet Commerce, The Journal of
Marketing Education, and Marketing Education Review.
She is the faculty advisor for Pi Sigma Epsilon as well as
faculty advisor for the JMU March of Dimes Collegiate Council.
Dr. Flaherty is the Web Manager for Marketing Education Review, Business
Portal Editor for MERLOT, Editor of
the Academy of Marketing
Science Quarterly, and serves on the review boards of
various marketing journals. She also serves as a member of
the Global Academic
Judging Panel for the Google Online Marketing
Challenge.
