Dr. William T.
Faranda
Dr. William T. Faranda is an Associate
Professor of Marketing at James Madison University. His
teaching interests include marketing management and strategy,
consumer behavior, and services marketing. Dr. Faranda
received a BS in Accountancy and an MBA from Miami University in
Oxford, Ohio, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from Arizona State
University. Along the way to joining the JMU faculty, Dr.
Faranda served on the faculties of several institutions, including
Miami University, Ashland University (Ohio), and the University of
Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce.
Dr. Faranda's latest research interests focus
on behavioral issues in services marketing and on business
education issues, primarily with regard to student learning and
student/faculty interaction. Recent publications have
appeared in Journal of Marketing Education, Psychology
and Marketing, Journal of Travel and Tourism
Marketing, and the AMA Summer and Winter Conference
Proceedings. He has received research awards from the
American Marketing Association and the Marketing Educator's
Association. Dr. Faranda also serves as the faculty advisor
to two student organizations on campus: Delta Epsilon Chi, a
campus-wide marketing association, and Mu Kappa
Tau, the marketing honorary society.
