We are so happy that you are willing to participate in the Day of Community Service!

Students

Stop by the Festival Conference & Student Center to help the Student United Way decorate paper meal delivery bags with markers and stickers for the Meals on Wheels program from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Take a few minutes to make someone's day!

We will also have projects available around campus so you can stop by between classes or during lunch! The list below is for faculty and staff.

Whether you enjoy rocking babies, painting rooms or mulching flower beds, there is a place for you as a volunteer in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.  Celebrate the legacy of James Madison by volunteering your time and talents during Community Service Day.  In partnership with United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County , we’re offering a variety of opportunities both on and off campus to connect with United Way agencies that advance the common good in our area.

According to United Way of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, volunteering offers physical, mental and emotional health benefits galore.  Volunteering can also help you build valuable job skills, meet new friends and contacts, and enhance career opportunities.  Want to explore volunteerism after Madison Week? Local nonprofits need your help all year long.  Get Connected today!
