Pomegranate Flowers with Poem by Fan Wei

China: Qing Dynasty, c. 1800,  watercolor on paper

Born in 1760, Fan Wei was an artist from Ba county in the Sichuan province during the Qing dynasty. He specialized in flower, bird and figure paintings in both free sketches and fine brushwork.  He died in the year 1820.
