Woman and Ebisu with Umbrella by Utagawa Toyohiro
Japan: early 19th century, Woodblock print
Toyohiro was born around 1773. He was a member of the Utagawa School and is remembered as Hiroshige’s teacher. Hiroshige’s work can also be found in this exhibit. Toyohiro died in 1828.
